A missing 10-year-old girl from Upstate New York has been found after a search that spanned several days and involved multiple police agencies.
Rensselaer County resident Elizabeth Rosa had last been seen at around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, Aug.1, in Troy, getting into an unknown car on 7th Avenue in the North Lansingburgh neighborhood.
Detectives said the girl was likely traveling to stay with family in New York City or on Long Island.
Late Thursday night, Aug. 3, Troy Police announced that Rosa had been found in New York City and was safe.
"Troy PD Detectives will remain with Elizabeth while she is medically evaluated as a precautionary measure then we will reunite her with her family that reported her missing," Troy Police Assistant Chief Steven Barker said.
No other information was made public.

On Thursday, Aug. 3, Troy Police said Rosa is believed to be with her non-custodial mother, Kristin Lagace, in New York City or on Long Island.
The Troy Police Department is coordinating with the NYPD and the New York State Police to locate the child.
Rosa is 5-feet-2-inches tall and weighs 100 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt.
Lagace, age 35, is described as 5-feet-8-inches tall and 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
